Often men and women come to sober living residences directly off the streets and without financial resources. On the recommendation of house managers, the Foundation provides Clean Start Backpacks, with essentials such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and a gift card to purchase other basic needs.

Dedicated to Mark's memory, the Mark Garwood Phoenix House is a men's sober living residence in Lake Worth. The Foundation works with the managers and residents to maintain a safe and steadfast environement.
Bridge Scholarship House
The Foundation supports one of the beds at the Bridge Scholarship house, a transitional men's recovery facility that provides free board and beds to individuals who have no insurance, no employment, or other means of support. The men of the Bridge Scholarship House engage in community service while seeking employment.

Since awarding our first Phoenix Scholarship in 2015, the Mark Garwood Foundation has awarded over $540,000 in educational grants to 76 adults in Florida who are in recovery, committed to long-term sobriety and are ready to begin or continue their education.
